Researched online (you tube) and watched several videos discussing the problem and possible solutions. Decided to order the switch which attaches to the compressor in the back of the refrigerator. sourced and ordered the part on a Sunday night and received the following Tuesday. Was very pleased. After watching the videos again to refresh my memory as to the proper procedure to replace the part in question, my husband and myself tackled the job in about an hour at most. I think it took longer to clean up behind the fridge and vacuum all accumulated dirt and dust than it did to do accomplish the repair. The new switch turned out to be the problem after all, so for a little or $50.00 and no labor expenses, we are very happy. Now that it is fully functional and seems to be working great again I have plans to order more parts as my fridge needs some replacement parts for the interior (ie. shelf, drawer and shelving parts).
Did not want to spend the extra money on these parts if we were unsuccessful in the repair. I am very happy.
