How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5787784 / W10613606 Compressor Start Relay

Found the suggested repair on AppliancePartsPros.com website after Google search. They showed symptoms and most likely repair. Watched the video they had ordered the parts and got them the next day (awesome!! Didn’t expect that really). Went to install them and the aorta were not the same. A quick phone call and got help night away. Parts were improved version. I sent them a picture of the old parts and new parts together and they replied right away on how to wire it correctly. Put it together and it’s running and cooling as it should!! Sure saved us buying a new refrigerator!!! Only issue was with the electrical connectors, I had to go get mini spades. But that is super minor!! I’ll go to AppliancePartsPros.com first from now on!! 

Replaced the relay switch and cleaned the condenser coils. Back to normal. 

Ordered compressor start relay. Unplugged fridge. Removed the lower black cover panel on the back of the fridge with a nut driver. Removed and unclipped compressor start relay from the compressor. You have to give it a nice wiggle. It's on tight. Installed the new part and reassembled. Plugged in the fridge and heard the compressor turn on. The fridge and freezer began to get cool after 15mins. The old part was burnt and very noisy when I shook it. 

Replacement of part ordered from your online website. 

I went to the website, selected the symptoms, and got the list of possible solutions. Ordered the recommended part on Sunday, shipped it on Monday, received Tuesday and installed the part in ten minutes, and fixed the unit. Saved me hundreds of dollars. 

Thank goodness for YouTube! I realized that the compressor wasn’t kicking on even though the fans were running. I learned that a common fix for this problem This Is a new start relay and run capacitor. I ordered the parts and watched the installation video. It was super easy and now I don’t t have to buy a new fridge or pay a repairman!!! 

I replaced the compressor start relay. Did not realize, that the compressor start relay came with a run capacitor... Now I have an extra run capacitor- the cost for all three parts was $150.00 

Looked up videos for repair and was able to identify the start capacitor. Bought the part and the replacement only took about 5 minutes. A few days ago I was about to leave the refrigerator by the curb and now I have a working frig again. 

I did some internet searches for similar problems. Found AppliancePartsPros.com with DIY video. Ordered the part on Tues. night...it was delivered on Thurs. 

I ordered a starting relay and run capacitor from AppliancePartsPros.com, which was great service fast shipping, and instructions on how to. It's now working beautifully after a technician came by and told me I needed a compressor.
