How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008318 / WP3391902 Door Switch (Dryer)

Dryer would not start - ran through the trouble shooting guide in the owners manual and found the door switch to be the problem. I copied the part number off of the switch and ordered a new one. The part came within two days and was very easy to install. 

I looked up how to fix it and watched a video on Appliance Parts Pros, and decided that it was a job that I could handle doing. I had contacted a reputable appliance repair person, who wanted $95 (parts and labor) to replace the switch. No way!!! I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com and did it myself! Easy!!!
