How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007666 / WP3149400 Range Surface Element Switch

I was able to replace the Electronic Control panel and the RF Surface Element Switch. Both replacements were very straightforward. I simply had to unplug the range, unscrew and remove the back panel, and replace the problem parts. Both the control and the switch just needed to be unplugged and a couple of mounting screws removed. I then mounted the new parts, connected their plugs, and put the back panel in place. Once I powered up the range all parts worked as expected with no further issues. 

Replaced element control switch. 

Changed out the front control. Was extremely easy .Unplug unit, remove back screws and disconnected wire harness from suspected controller. Had to remove a piece of the control so that the front knob would sit at the same height as the others. Reattached wiring ( could only go one way ) reinstalled back and plugged back in ... That's it easy peasy . 

Installed new infinity switch. 

Took the replacement switch, followed the old configuration of wire hookup and hooked it up the same way on the switch and now my burner works great! 

Replaced the temperature setting switch. The switch arrived the day after I ordered it! Can't beat that service! 

Found part at AppliancePartsPros and replaced it. 

I replaced the bad switch with a new one which arrived about a week after I ordered it. It took longer to move the stove away from the wall than fix the switch.
