How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007666 / WP3149400 Range Surface Element Switch

Installed new bunner switch 

Ordered part on line and received it in two days.. Installed part and all in working. 

Replaced surface unit switch 

Very carefully.unplugged the appliance dismantled the back hooked up the wires reassembled it.and bam it worked. 

Removed back and switched part 

Replace the switch, The video on how to do it was Great! 

Looked online for a solution and was able to narrow the problem down to the surface unit switch. After watching the video and receiving the part, I replaced the seitch and problem was solved. 

Replaced the switch 

I had a problem with my stove as the large burner would stay on high regardless if I had the switch set on low or not. I did some research online and found your site, reading some other similar problems, I decided to order the surface unit switch to replace it. After replacing it, stove works perfect now. Just make sure to clip off the upper part of the rod so that the knob will fit. Also when getting the appliance model number from your Whirlpool Electric Range, pull out the bottom drawer and you will find the number lower left edge and after the last letter look further to the left to find the last number. Should be a 0,1 or 2. 

The receptacle kit went smoothly until I cut the two wire to short, had to use 4 wire nuts to connect the wires i cut back together, now it works just fine, I'm giving a 5 star cause it would of taken me about 20 minutes if i hadn't cut the wires
