How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005839 / WP2149705 Light Switch

We had delayed repairing the problem because we received a price of more than $ 100 from a local appliance repairman. However, after viewing the view on the ApplianceParts Pro website, I saw what an easy repair it would be. After receiving the part from you, I had my son do the repair because I felt it would a good father - son bonding time. It was so easy and he was proud of his ability. I removed the screws that I thought held up the bracket that the light switch was in. After doing this, I could not drop the bracket. I googled "How to replace a light switch on my model of refrigerator" and got "nothing available". Then I googled " How to replace the thermostat on my refrigerator" and got the information on how to remove that bracket holding the thermostat, which also holds the light switch. 

Replaced with new one from your website. I love the website because it shows you how to fix your problem before you get started. I 

New board and 2 new switches, one which was wrong for the refrigerator. After installing parts found where wiring in the freezer had scrubbed thru touching the frame. Lights have now quit strobing. Holding my breath to see if the problem is solved.

I watched you tube video from appliance parts pro and ordered the light socket kit and switch. I saw it was easy to replace these and the instructions in video is exactly what i did and fixed my light issue. Parts arrived in 2 days are the original parts of the manufacturer.
