Wayne November 15, 2023 for Model Number WRS325FDAM04 Our LED Lights are flickering & sometimes they do not come on at all. whent hey are on they are really bright Freezer side does not come on at all. We had the LED modules replaced 3 times but still having issues repairman wants $100 to fix :( IN your opinion what parts should we order to do a DTY ?
1 Answer Wayne, if all three LED modules have been replaced, the failure would either be in the door switches or the wire harness running through the cabin liner. The door switches can be tested for continuity from the black wired terminal to the yellow wired terminal when the appliance power cord is unplugged. There should be continuity every time the switch being tested is released after being pressed in. If one does not have continuity after being released, that specific switch has failed. If there is continuity every time, there is likely a wire failure. Unfortunately, a wire failure inside of the liner is not repairable. Read More...
Arnie June 11, 2020 for Model Number WRS322FDAW04 I have a slightly different problem with my Whirlpool side by side. The LED lights in both the freezer and fridge only flicker and do not fully light up when I open the door. If I have the door open and press the freezer switch they stop flickering. Same for fridge side. Do I need to replace the lights, if so how do you get the lights out. the unit is about two or three years old and does not have screws holding it in. It looks like the clear cover might snap into place. Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Arnie, the LED light modules can be removed with a putty knife, just get under the edge and pry slightly they will release and come out, if you have the flickering light problem replace the light module WPW10515057 in the freezer. Read More...
Mary May 13, 2020 for Model Number WRS325FDAB06 MY FREEZER LIGHT IS NOT WORKING. I HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PART. I NEED THE VIDEO FOR REPLACING IT
1 Answer Hello Mary, unfortunately there is no video for this part replacement, however, it is easy to do, first unplug the ref from power, if you look at the new light module you will see some tabs on sides of the module, this is what holds it in place, use a putty knife and get under the edge of the freezer light and lightly pry it down, once down disconnect the wires and reattach to the new module and press it up into place. Dave April 03, 2020 for Model Number WRS322FDAM04 What would cause the LED lights inside my Whirlpool side by side Refrigerator to quit working, lights in both sides are inoperative.
1 Answer Dave, the failure of the door switches can cause this failure. The freezer W11457217 and refrigerator WP2149705 door switches can be tested for voltage output when opened and the yellow wire on each switch should have 120VAC when in the open door position. From there, the top refrigerator light WPW10515058 can be tested for 12VDC output when the door is opened by testing from the red wire (with the red probe of a meter) to the yellow/red wire (with the black probe of a meter). If there is not 12VDC, then the light has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Heather November 06, 2019 for Model Number WRS325FDAW02 We just moved into this house a few days ago and our side by side fridge is a whirlpool, its 5 yrs old (I think). The fridge and freezer work as well as everything else and the lights on the ice maker and the light work. The LED lights are blinking in the fridge, when opened. And the freezer light is totally out. I'm not sure what type of LED light part # to replace with? Can you please provide a picture of what kind of light and the part # I would need to buy? And I don't know how to replace it, I have never seen this style of light before. Is there a video you could provide also? Any tips and tricks how to get the light out etc. Thanks so much!
1 Answer Hello Heather, the led lights are in series, the faulty light in the freezer is causing the other lights to be dim or blink. The freezer light is part [W10515057], it just clips in place. To remove just press in on the sides of the light assembly case and it will come off. Read More...
Mark June 05, 2019 for Model Number WRS325FDAM04 The lights are all LED. The lights on the refrigerator side (2 sets, 1 upper and 1 lower) turn on when you open the refrigerator, but they are really dim. The LED light on the freezer side does not come on at all. This just happened all of a sudden the other night. The refrigerator itself works fine and the LED light at the ice and water dispenser area is okay. Is this a switch issue? What do you recommend? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Mark, The lighting controls on this model are on the defrost control board WPW10366605. This board should correct he issue. Read More...

Matt D May 14, 2015 for Model Number KSR25QGWH01 kitchenaid side by side refrigerator All of the lights on the refrigerator side are completely out, including the lights on the LEDs of the temperature control. The lights on the freezer side work fine, and the fridge / freezer function fine. I replaced the light switch, part# AP2967092 and it did not fix the problem. What else can it be, I see there is a control board that the lights plug into, could it be that? Please help me with this. Thanks.
1 Answer Matt, There is a control board located at the back of the unit which would most likely be the cause for the failure of your lights not working. The model number that is listed is not coming up so we would not be able to provide the part number. Read More...

Martin W. May 07, 2011 for Model Number WHIRLPOOL REFER ED20TKXFW00 Refer light does not work. The bulb has been tested and is ok. There appears to be a small green button under the light inbetween two screws. Is this related to the bulb issue? Thanks, Martin.
1 Answer Hello Martin! We are not showing a green button on the diagrams. You will need to check the light switch itself, part number WP2149705. You can check this switch with a meter MA-DM1.
