How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008688 / WP35001191 Thermistor

Replaced valve coils and igniter. Parts worked after a couple days of wearing in but not every time. Checked all parts again and found that the thermistor had a higher resistance than it should have according to the paperwork the dryer came with. After replacing the thermistor and of course cleaning the vent before all the repairs I have had great results. It was worth the effort. 

Used a multi meter and determined all thermostats were good and had no reading on the thermistor. Ordered the thermistor which I received quickly. Installed the new thermistor and voila. Working dryer. For $23. 

I replaced the thermistor, solenoids, and blower fan. 

I went over the videos suggested. However the model of my appliance was not listed, but even though was the same process. Straightforward. I never on my life realized that I could fixed this without any problem. I also add some tape to cover cables, common sense. I saved $300 of my pocket :) Thanks for your help!!! 

Removed front of dryer 

Measured resistance supposed to read 10,000 ohms, read closer to 19.5 k ohms. coil on front looked damaged. changed part dryer is all set. only took 20 min or so to access the part.
