How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3115186 / 675813 Thermal Fuse

Replace door latch switches. 

Replaced thermal fuse. 

Whirlpool dishwasher would not start. Replaced the thermocouple and it worked perfectly. 

Our dishwasher just stopped mid-run one day. We use it pretty hard, 3 x's a day, often. It did run through the wash cycle, but it just shut down leaving 1" of water in the bottom. I had replaced the thermal fuse AND the door switch kit in the past, and I assumed it was the thermal fuse issue again. So, I opened the panel and noticed that the door switch connections had overheated, cracked open, and the terminals had started to melt. So, I ordered both the thermal fuse and the door switch. Replaced both of them in about 20 minutes and the dishwasher started right up again.

Verified power at the wall socket, unplugged unit the traced continuity through circuit. Had no continuity through thermal fuse. Easy fix for any electronics technician, probably a 5/10 for non technicians. 

Googled problem. Determined that possibly the thermal fuse was blown. Went on Appliancepartspros.com and ordered part Monday morning. Received part Tuesday afternoon. Replaced part Tuesday night. Dishwasher now works! This site is so valuable!! The correlating videos are extremely helpful. Cost to repair was just under $35.00 :) 

Ordered a new thermal fuse from you guys. It got here sper fast. It was easy to install. I used the video on your site.. Back in business and no dish pan hands. 

Thermal fuse went out. I ordered it from here and in one day I had the part! Came home from work that day, had my dishwasher working in about 15 minutes.
