How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008362 / WP3398190 Timer (3-Cycle)

Did some research, determined the timer was the problem, ordered the unit. Your web site said it would ship the same day, and to my joy, I had the timer within 24 hours. And within just a few minutes I had the new timer replaced and the 20 year dryer was running like new. 

Replaced the timer. My timer did not have the blue jumper going from BU to W. I pulled it and put my (BU) Blue and (W) White wires on the posts. It worked. The dryer was also turning off at various times for no reason, so I replaced the door switch as well. Looking back, it was probably just the timer going out. My wife REFUSES to get a new dryer. She loves it, and with you folks around, it's easy to get parts for it and repair it myself. Replaced the belt, the rollers, the fuzzy gasket and some other parts last year. Original owners since 1991. Momma is happy!!!

Followed the instructions and replacing the timer was quite easy and now my dryer works perfect again. By the way I'm a girl - if I could do it others can too
