How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006208 / WP22001255 Washer Timer

Replaced timer. Took about five minutes. 

Hooked model number and found solution was to replace timer. Then found utube of how to replace timer. Ordered part from you guys and it came in 2 days. 

Great service it was the correct part exact fit washer works again! 

Following previous stories, removed old timer & reversed procedure to reassemble. 

I did a little computer research. Most sites said to replace the lid switch. I checked the switch which seemed to be working. I got on Appliance Parts Pros and looked at a timer for Maytag, ordered it and received it in a timely manner. I started out a little apprehensive but was pleasantly surprised how simple the install was. One knob clip, two screws and unplug the wiring harness.

Just replaced the timer. 

Replaced timer . Replaced both belts while I was into it . Washer works fantastic now !! Took a few minutes to figure out the knob. Take a small screw driver and pry the center of the knob out . Then slide the wedge washer out and the while mechanism disassembles easy . Great parts fast delivery. ???? 

Replace the timer. 

We looked online to try and determine what the problem could be. We found some helpful DIY videos on Youtube and that helped us to determine that it was likely the timer. We ordered it, and it arrived very quickly, faster than could be ordered here locally. We then looked at some other youtube videos on how to replace the time and my girlfriend put it in in about 10 minutes and we had the washer up and running in no time. The things you take for granted. Now I have 6 loads of laundry to fold. So much for the afterglow.
