How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017636 / WPW10243947 Washer Timer Control Assembly

Watched your video on removal install tips, ordered part [ new timer switch] about 2:00 PM and it was on the porch 24 hrs. later. Installed in less than 30 minutes and every thing has worked fine so far. Could not ask for anything better. 

Tech diagnosed it for 50 then wanted 375 to fix, I ordered the part and installed it and it worked 

Ordered a new Timer. I watched AppliancePartsPros.com's video which showed me how to replace the timer. Removed the old timer and installed the new timer. It was easy, completed in 30 minutes! I also ordered a new Lid Switch to replace the old one by watching the video because I tested it and noticed it would work sometimes. Tested my wash machine by running several different wash cycles. All the wash cycles were completed successfully and work like NEW again. My washer is back in working order, and I saved money not having to call a service tech to diagnose the problem. All the videos that are on the website are great for helping people solve and fix many problems. Thank you for all your wonderful videos showing what parts I need to order from your website. I would recommend this website to anyone else needing help repairing their appliances. 

Replace the timer after attempting to fix the old one. My old one was too far gone so I bought the new part. 

With out the video it would hard to do it, i worked for Westinghouse 40 years ago and had my own repair shop after that believe me the video help a lot and i'm 76 now and can still fix them 

I looked up the site and found out it was timer problem. It was easy to find parts, ordered two day shipping and arrived on time. The site video was not exactly same as my washing machine, but I found same machine in YouTube. The repair was easy and I fixed within 30 minutes. I really thank you for this site and I will recommend anyone.
