The Guide Cover is an OEM part for LG dryers. The part allows dust and debris to exit the dryer drum while preventing small clothing items from slipping through.
Causes of a bad Guide Cover can include accumulation of lint and debris that can restrict airflow, physical damage from handling or excessive use, and general wear that can compromise the fit and effectiveness of the cover.

I have order three parts, guide filter, cover guide, and sensor assembly. My previous cover guide was from two parts, when sensor assembly was one of them. New part ( guide cover ) was all in one piece so I just transfer old metal part of sensor to new cover guide and I don't need that sensor assembly anymore. Process was a bit more complicated than the videos I had watched online. Had to remove both front panel and control panel to get to soap dispenser. Removed wires to soap dispenser and rinse aide dispenser. Removed wire "harness" around the top and right side of dispenser. Pried back the clips to allow dispenser to be pushed out. It was helpful to have another person to hold the door open at this point. Bent clips back and reinstalled everything. New part works great. Read more
This is a plastic cover that shields the heater element located near the french door center hinge area of the refrigerator. The dryer is 10 years old. I replaced all 4 roller wheels. While I had it apart I also replaced the drive belt and the idler pulley assembly. Once I had it apart I did find 2 wheels that were very worn, (1 front, 1 back) which is what I believe the problem was as they were also very hard to spin. Dryer works like new now.
