How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013067 / WP8540751 Water Inlet Valve

After watching the video instructions on your website I replaced the water inlet valve on my washing machine. The video was extremely helpful. Probably could not have replaced the valve without it. 

Remove top of washer, replace valve. Easy deal. Fixed!!! 

Water was not really coming in to the washer. Replaced the water inlet part. Hoses for hot and cold water as well. Also replaced the water level pressure switch. Original water inlet and hoses were 10 years old and shot. As soon as I put in new parts and started up the machine. Huge difference. Washer no longer prematurely stops. Washer goes through whole process every single time. Washes anything I put in there no problem now either. I’m just happy your company had the parts for me to fix my washer instead of having to buy a new one . Thank you very much for the parts and the video on how to take out the old parts and install the new ones. 

Yes it has corrected my issue. Also found that the filter on the old part was just plugged up and it can be cleaned and salvaged too 

I tried cleaning hoses, pump etc. and while they needed a bit of cleaning, they weren't the problem. I got great suggestions from this site as to things to try that cost nothing but a little elbow grease. In the end I bought and installed a new water inlet valve and that has done the trick. We have not had a single issue on any setting since putting the new valve in. Problem solved for $20 and this is something Whirlpool's own techs couldn't figure out. I'm not a handy guy but the videos and support on this site are awesome and made it easy. Tackling my dryer next! Time shown below is for changing the water inlet valve only ( I spent more time diagnosing what was the issue) 

Replaced the water inlet valve. Part arrived the next day even with only having fast shipment. Reasonable cost for part and shipping. Very pleased with ease of order and service. 

Your video was excellent. Got your name from another video. The valve replacement went exactly as advertised. Very pleased with ease of order and prompt delivery. Installed the pressure switch first which resulted in no change. The water Inlet valve installation did the trick. Nice to have both changed out.

Purchased a spare water inlet valve from here, took me 10 minutes to replace it with the easy to follow instructions on APP YouTube page 

Ordered the part it came in 2 days watched the video. The website and fixed it in 10 min.
