How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009324 / WP4388152 Water Tube Assembly

The video on the website (ApplianceParts Pros.com) gave good instructions. However, the tube was taped to the inside of the control panel, therefore, pulling the tube through the door was impossible. I had to remove the entire control panel from the door, remove the tape, and the tube was free. After this, I had one other issue. With the tape and string on the tube, it was difficult to pull through the beginning of the bottom of the door. I ended up pulling a thin wire through the tube, then removing the tube from the door. I then placed tape on the end of the wire, and pulled that through. I then taped the string to the tube, and continued to tape the string, about 6 inches below the tube. I pulled it through the door, and once it became snugged at the bottom , I was able to pull on the taped wire, and force it through the hole. The taped string really helped strengthen the taped string, keeping it from slipping off the tube. Back in business. 

Replaced with new part after watching installation video. 

Obtained part, watched the video, performed the actions indicated and within a very short time fixed this problem. Great support and service. 

I fix a lot of things but without the repair video I may have replaced the Water Tube but it would have taken a lot longer. I recommend using the videos they are full of tips and tricks to make the job easier. 

Followed instructions on your video. Did run into a problem when the string came off the new tube. Pulled it back out through the dispenser end. I then took the old tube, cut the broken nozzle of the end. Restrung the old tube and fed it through the bottom of the door. Luckily, it did come up to the dispenser. I then wrapped more string around the new tube making sure it was taped even more securely and fed it back down through the dispenser. All went well. I wish that I could have purchased the tube assembly I needed rather than having to purchase a package with two, one being useless to me. It just seems a waste. I would not have attempted this without the great video instructions shown. Thank you. Just an FYI, I am a 62 year old female. Have done nothing like this before. 

I ordered part 4388152 which is what you showed in the repair video. I followed the video which was awesome--thank you so much!...I never would have figured out how to make this simple repair without it. It took me about an hour to complete (I'm no professional!!). I would make one recommendation, however. Instead of trying to push the flange back and forth around the doorstop with a screwdriver, It is much easier to just loosen the two 5/16 bolts holding the metal doorstop in place. Once that is loose, the flange goes in and out easily. (I spent about 20 minutes working on this step, before finally loosening that piece.) 

Ordered the part from appliance parts pro. Believe it or not they had the right part and shipped it promptly. I had difficulty getting the hose through the refrigerator door and sent a help message to All parts pro. They sent me a link that detailed how to solve the problem. The video was very good and detailed step by step how to solve my problem. it worked! 

I followed the instructions from the explanation video, which included step-by-step video with explanation. Definitely a project outside my comfort level, but the repair worked smoothly as I followed the video. Great results. 

I used your video as my guide and the job was easy. I connected a string to the old tube and pulled it through just as the video shows. The video says that if you use to much tape the connect the new tube to the string that the tube could get hung-up in the door. So I fed a mono-filament fishing line through new tube and tied off one end to the dispenser tip. I made the fishing line long enough (about 3 feet more than needed) and taped to the string. Pulling the string and fishing line back through the door was smooth as silk. The time needed to pull out the old tube and pull in the new was about 5 minutes. I replaced it. The how to video was very helpful and I followed it exactly. Everything worked out as instructed by the video.
