How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009324 / WP4388152 Water Tube Assembly

Found and ordered parts from AppliancePartsPros.com, parts delivered next day. THANK YOU!!! Following instructions found in numerous on line videos, quickly found that Kitchenaid appliances are built slightly different than regular Whirlpool units - probably why we like them so much. It wasn't as easy a job as indicated on the ApplicancePartsPros video, as the hose was secured inside the freezer with insulation and tape. Had to take the entire dispenser unit apart to free hose. From there it was a matter of process. NOTE: Excess hose is provided, use that excess hose to replace any and all old hose you can access. If you have a leak in one part of the hose, the rest of it is just as susceptible. 

Watch a youtube of this repair! As the tube runs through the door frame, you'll need string and tape, along with the other tools, in order to make the path easier to work. note: I had to remove the light bulb to give my fingers room to get the tube to begin its downward journey. 

First and foremost, I found THE part I needed in two places; AppliancePartsPros.com and the regular retailer of our refrigerator. And it cost $20 less at AppliancePartsPros. So far, that's a no-brainer. Second and perhaps even more importantly, AppliancePartsPros had a short VIDEO showing exactly how to replace this tubing -- which was routed down inside a sealed (as in welded shut) fridge door. They made it look easy. And after watching that video and getting the part, it actually WAS easy. Took me about 30 minutes total to replace it. Oh, and by the way, from the time I ORDERED this part until I RECEIVED this part -- exactly 20 hours. And I never had to leave the house. Can you beat that?

I Purchased a new water dispenser kit from your company, watched the repair video (several times ) then carefully followed the instruction and completed the repair. 

Just as shown in the video, I cast the line. 

Used the parts ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com, along with Youtube video from AppliancePartsPros.com to replace the water tube assembly. Suggestions made in that video made the difference in making the repair or not making the repair. 

Install new hose and spout. It was easy to remove door completely remove old hose, install new hose and put door back on. Easy. 

Followed video instructions which were spot on! 

I ordered the correct water tubing assembly from Appliance Parts Pros. Then watched the repair video. Completed the repair without any problem in about an hour.
