This ended up being very simple thanks to the wonderful videos on Appliance Parts Pros. We just followed the directions and had no problems at all. Including videos with parts is a great way to do business!
Quick notes:
1. I used an oscillating scraper and a Dremel tool wire brush to quickly remove the glue from the old felt drum seal.
2. A shop vac is very useful any time you open up the drier.
