There was a piece of plastic that had broken off inside the washer, it looked like it was part of the air inlet. I ordered the Air Inlet, watched a youtube video to see how to replace it, and did the installation. It worked! Took a couple of hours (since I'm not an expert at this sort of thing), but totally worth it. I ordered the gasket as well I wasn't sure if the air inlet was actually the problem, but since replacing the air inlet solved it I didn't install the gasket yet.
