Opened up the back of washer after watching video on your web site that told of possible noise coming from drum bearing and seal. Upon removal of top and back cover I was happy to see that the drum bearing was not leaking. I took the belt off and spun the drum and it was quiet and then spun the motor and the noise was coming from the motor. Also noticed the right rear Shock Absorber was covered with a rusty look and the area around the base below it was covered with brown dried up grease. I consider myself lucky that only had to replace motor and shock and not have to split the drum and all that other stuff. Hope to get another 5 years out of this washer. 9 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
