I purchased a replacement assembly from Appliancepartspluspro.com
Upon inspection of new part I noticed there were only 6 terminals for the 8 wires I needed to connect.
After much investigation by their tech support person Ali, it became apparent that my old part was discontinued and no longer available.
The new part was the correct replacement but now I had to figure out what to do with the 2 extra wires. I labeled all of the wires and the terminals on the the old part. After moving wires, one by one, to the new board I was left with P1 and a wire from a micro switch.
Obviously the switch was no longer functional with the new board.
As for P1 I surmised it was no longer needed due to updates to the circuitry on the new board.
Checked all connections and fired the mixer up. Voila !!! It worked perfectly at all speeds for over an hour. I left the obsolete P1 and micro switch tucked away inside the mixer head just to be safe.
Special thanks to Ali for his patience and determination in solving my dilemma.
