Replaced the food switch assembly. I ordered a water inlet valve as well, though I did not need it. Once I opened the new flood switch and could feel the ball valve rattle when shaking it (and the old one did not rattle) I knew that was the problem. It would be a good initial diagnostic recommended check of the original flood valve to shake it after removal to see/hear if the ball inside rattles as it should.
