This replacement part is a door hinge, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This door hinge is typically found in refrigerators or freezers. The hinge is stationed so that the door and the main parts of the appliance are connected and in working order. The door hinge allows the doors to be opened and closed easily and smoothly. There is typically more than one hinge on each door so be sure to purchase the correct amount. A new door hinge might be needed if the current appliance doors are not properly opening and closing. Another way to tell if the hinges are damaged is if the doors are drooping and require a slight lift to be shut. This usually means the hinges are becoming loose and either need to be tightened or replaced altogether.
