This governor arm shaft can be used as a replacement part for hedge trimmers, string trimmers, lawnmowers, or chipper shredders. The governor arm shaft for one of these small engine appliances is a connecting part within the governor system; it is fastened to the governor cross shaft and is attached to the throttle linkage and the governor spring. Governor arm shafts can be subject to damage in the form of erosion, piercing, puncturing, or general wear and tear. Damage to a governor arm shaft can affect all of the surrounding components. As such, if a governor arm shaft suffers damage such that it cannot fasten components together, it must be removed and replaced immediately before the small engine appliance can be used again.
