This is a small silicone packing seal that fits around the turntable motor shaft where it passes through the microwave floor. It prevents moisture, grease, and food debris from reaching the motor and internal components below the cooking cavity. Replace this seal if you notice leaking beneath the turntable plate or if the original seal has become brittle, torn, or displaced.
