The repair is pretty straight forward. After pulling the range out from the wall and unplugging it, I removed the oven door, and removed rack sensing bar by removing the bracket holding the top of the bar. I moved to the back of the range and took off the lower back cover. After disconnecting the sensor plug, I tied twine to the end of plug. Replaced faulty rack switch. to do this I had to do the following: 1. Turn off power and gas. 2. Pull out range. 3. Removed a zillion screws on the left cover plate and heat shields. 4. Removed rack switch retaining screw inside oven. 5. Unplugged existing switch and confirmed bad (no continuity). 6. Installed new switch. 7. reverse order steps to complete. Read more
