I used the internet and checked a dry fuse, and it tested ok. Checked the start switch, ok. So it had to be the motor. Sharon at the company agreed. Old, unused stack set. Washer was great, dryer was grinding. Started with the mounting bracket/bearing and the belt. The old ones were slightly beatup. Put it back together and the problem persisted. Found the real problem when I pulled apart the blower to get to the motor. The fan had broken fins that had jammed in the side of the blower housing, and the friction had melted through the outer wall of the fan. Unplugged unit, removed front cover exposing drum seals and glides. Found a broken zipper slider jammed into the felt seal. Removed zipper slider and replaced drum seals and glides along with belt for preventive maintenance. Replaced front cover, plugged in unit. Read more
