James R Canmer , KY July 06, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FEF364DWA My wife was using it and she turned the oven on bake and there was a loud poof and small amount of smoke I first checked the power , we had 220 volt at plug, I removed the back of the stove, checked things out , I found that the stove top burners still worked and the oven light worked. I tested and found that we had current to the timer and clock but nothing on the control worked to set the time, or to turn the oven on or to set the oven temp. I ordered this part on June 30th and received the next morning. I disconnected stove from electrical plug. Be Sure to unplug the stove for your safety. I only had to remove 4 screws and unplug the wired and plug onto the new part. I also had to take the face off of the old part and put on the new one, but no big deal. I just got my pocket knife blade under the edge of the face and went around the old part and the face came right off. Only a line of sticky adhesive around the outer edge. You can buy a new face for the new control but to save money I took the old one off and reused it. I put it on the new part and installed the new part. The stove works like new. Paul M Price , UT April 26, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FEF364DSB My oven wouldn't heat up Well first I went on the internet to kind of get a diagnosis of the problem. After watching a how to video, I got out my multi-meter and tested the timer/control board as per the video. I found that the control board was shorted. I looked up the part on appliancepartspros.com using my ovens model number. I ordered the part, it arrived in two days. I removed the back plate of the oven, removed the four screws holding the control board in place, and replaced with new part, I made sure all wires and connections were tight. I then fired the oven back up, and low and behold, it works again! So, I saved myself about a $240.00 repair bill had I called a repair company to come and fix it. All in all it was a very easy repair, and fairly inexpensive Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers
