Mark F Gainesville , FL January 10, 2019 The control panel had become detached from the range, because the plastic where the screws are inserted had broken in all 4 corners. Pulled the range out from the wall so I could get behind it. Unplugged it and removed the back plate from the range. Unplugged the two connections on the old panel to remove it. Adhered the overlay to the front of the new panel. Plugged it back in and attached it to the range with the 4 screws—careful not to tighten them too tight to avoid cracking the plastic. Ron H Tempe , AZ December 21, 2015 Appliance: Model 790.90219013 Dr code no heat Replaced the clock/timer control board. An overlay is a must, unless you want to remove the circuit boards from the plastic housing and snap them into the old plastic housing. I didn't order the overlay and had to transfer the new circuit boards to the old housing with the overlay already in place. The part should have an overlay with it. Nothing but success with the repair job. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
James W Sandwich , MA March 12, 2017 All four support brackets holding the clock/timer in the stove broke after 8 years it appears they deteriorated and cracked cleanly due to heat and use Ordered clock/timer assembly and overlay from Sharon, who was very helpful. The parts arrived within 2 days via FedEx. At unpacking of the parts I noted that the overlay had different graphics than the original but everything was in the same place. The repair took me 45 minutes which included moving the stove and placing the overlay on the clock/timer.. The repair was simple but I would make the following recommendations. You will need a 1/4 in. socket to remove the 6 small bolts holding the upper sheet metal shield to the rear of the stove. Would also recommend that you wear thick work gloves as this panel has very sharp edges. Otherwise the repair was as stated and took only a Phillips head screwdriver. Read More...
