Thomas M Janesville , WI October 07, 2016 Error code e90 I ordered the control board because the old one had many (about 30) opens on the back of the control board and the plastic cover for it was warped. Helpful notes; put front cover on before you connect the wiring. This will save you hours of being mad! All the plugins have different ends, you can't screw it up! Third note, those little plastic light transmitters can be put in wrong and it will not go together. Tabs go in! The one set by the start button can be put in backwards and looks correct. (Gerr) Make sure the tab goes in! Besides all these learning curves and bad words it was not to bad! Your product fit very well and works great! Thanks! Barry L Seattle , WA May 05, 2014 Appliance: Model LAFW3511KWO (SIMILAR TO FAFW3511KWO) Error code 43 (door latch) was actually a control board problem This one was almost as easy as replacing the door latch assembly, but a little trickier. I just swapped the connectors one by one from the old board to the new (to make sure everything went to where it was supposed to go), then moved the plastic light indicators and the digital readout panel over to the new one. The dial was a little trickier, it involved unlatching the back of the old circuit board in order to get the whole dial piece out, but after that it was easy to insert into the new one. Then it was just a matter of aligning the new board with the dial/buttons and screwing it back down. Worked like a charm! This was my last resort--after replacing the door latch assembly twice, paying for a mechanic to examine and give his opinion (he figured the control board), then opting to replace this part myself, I was just going to break down and buy a new machine if this didn't work. Adam A West Seneca , NY June 12, 2014 Appliance: Model FRIDGIDAIRE AFFINITY FRONT LOAD WASHER It was error e43 i believe At first I misread the instructions, it said try test 7 and I mixed up the results, it said I should replace either the lock or the pc board, after doing the test I replaced the lock but still had the problem. I re-read and re-did the test and realized my mistake, I was supposed to replace the pc board. (Wasted$) New pc board was super easy, I would recommend if people have the same screws as mine to use a square head bit, it was #2 I believe. My screws could use a Phillips screwdriver as well but I kept slipping, they went in and out perfectly when I used the square bit head. Read More...
