Description

This dryer timer controls the sequence and length of drying cycles. Replacing a failed timer restores consistent cycle advancement and automatic shutoff so your dryer starts, runs, and ends at the correct time. What it does:

• Advances the selected cycle by opening and closing internal switch contacts on schedule
• Coordinates start/run timing and end-of-cycle shutoff for timed and auto settings
• Common failure signs: timer knob doesn't advance, dryer runs too long or won't shut off, stops early, or only certain cycles work

Install notes:

• Unplug the dryer or disconnect power before servicing
• Access the timer from the console; remove the control knob and mounting screws to release it
• Transfer wires one at a time to matching terminals on the new timer using your model's wiring diagram
