Andrew P Newport Beach , CA December 25, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Frg(V1) / Laundry Center FLSG72GCS9 Frigidaire Washer Dryer Combo Flsg72gcs9: Burning smell and washing machine no longer worked. How to replace Capacitor. From the smell it was pretty clear the drive motor had burnt out so I decided to replace it along with the capacitor. It made sense to replace the Idler Pulley and drive belt at the same time as these are both wear and tear items and were not too expensive. The video was excellent and helped a lot, the drive motor, belt and capacitor were simple to replace, with the far corner nut of the drive motor being the most fiddly but I have large hands and access is tight. The Idler Pulley proved to take the longest time, with the circlip a pain to remove as it was compressed by the washer and very hard to see. As I have a stackable washer/dryer I did not have the clearance to move the drum upwards. To get around this I put the unit on its side that allowed me to see and gain better access. All in all, a great job and the parts came in only 2 days with standard shipping. I can definitely recommend AppliancePartsPros.com, awesome.
