Peter A Deltona , FL May 22, 2016 Loud noise coming from the circulation motor I replaced the circulation motor that went bad from a leaking seal. This was a pretty simple repair. I took the dishwasher out from under the cabinet turned it on its side and loosened two torx screws holding the pressure plate that keeps the main motor tight. The old motor slid right out all in one unit with o rings attached. Put new o rings on the new motor and slid it in the dishwasher. This new motor had a different electrical connection. For the price, a simple wire conversion kit that just clicks into the old connector would have made it much simpler. With this one I had to cut and strip the wires and connect them to the new connector wire harness, crimp and heat shrink the connector. I missed one heat shrink because it fell off while looking for the crimpers and had to use electrical tape. Reinstalled the dishwasher and hooked everything back up and did a test run. Now I am glad to say that the dishwasher is no longer making noise. Greg S Springfield , VA August 26, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Dishwasher FDBB2865FC0 Circulation motor made loud growling noises no leaks yet I replaced the circulation motor. It was relatively easy - 2 Torx T20 screws hold the motor clamp to the bottom of the machine. The electrical connection simply pulled out from the motor. In my case no mods needed to be done to the wiring. The hardest part for me was taking the dishwasher out in order to tip it over to gain access to the motor. It was hardwired in and plumbed directly with 1/2" copper pipe. Both had to be removed. Also the 2 front feet to the washer needed to be turned up in order to clear the cabinet. Other than that, an easy job. The video explained the process very well! Duane K Spring Grove , PA November 05, 2017 Noisy operation. I replaced the circulation motor, which with the video was extremely easy. While I was under there I replaced the drain pump too just because the washer is 17 years old - purely preventative since it was cheap. I also replaced the dispenser, again, while I was in there..... The whole job was a snap, there is really nothing much under there and it all is easy to access. With the video to give a few hints like “just snap that tab off because you will replace it anyway” I’d say anyone can do this repair.
