Nolan R Hoboken , NJ February 06, 2017 Frigidaire dryer error e66 then door open My Electrolux Frigidaire Gas Dryer stopped working and I got an error code E66 that the thermal limiter blew from over heating. The E66 code stops displaying after the initial code and you will then get a door open message. I replaced the thermal limiter and the thermostat just to be sure which part at the problem. I believe only one of the limiter switches had failed, but the parts are reasonably priced and the effort is spent in the disassembly and reassembly of the machine. It was best to order the most common parts that fail for that model and switch them out all at once. I was also able to clean out the inside of the machine and then run a better hard-line exhaust for the dryer. Read More...
