I ran a diagnostics check on the washing machine and came up with the error code E47 -Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin. The washer thought the door was open and would not finish the spin. I was left with a washer full of very wet clothes. This repair was SO extremely easy. I think I have a lemon of a dryer. I keep having to pay someone to replace my heating element about every year. Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. Replaced control board. Did not need Control Thermistor in my case, but I'm keeping it as backup. Got the Drum Belt just in case it breaks on me since the dryer is aging. To replace control board: Disconnect power and pull dryer away from wall. Take 2 black screws on the back off to remove the top lid. Remove 2 screws on top that hold the control interface on. Fixed by replacing the washer door seal "Bellows". Once again AppliancePartsPros comes through with the right part at a great price. It took quite some time to install because putting the inside spring back on the bellow was difficult so I needed to remove the top and front door of the washer to get better access. I took the door assembly apart by removing the 7 screws on the inner door and the 2 on the striker. I removed the hinge from the washer so that I could place it inside the door when I put it back together. This is much easier then trying to reassemble the door while the hinge is attached to the machine. Once I lined up all of the pieces properly, I screwed it back together and remounted the striker. It was really easy to fix. I just took a screw driver and gently pried up on the top of the clothes washer to open up the top. Then the mixing valve was easy to access. I removed the two screws holding and unplugged the the wires. And pulled the old one free. Then reversed the process to install the old one. Less than thirty minutes start to finish. Read more

After following troubleshooting steps on the website verified the heating element assembly needed replacing. Since I had to breakdown the entire unit to get to it took the time to clean lint, dust and other buildup from inside and replaced other fuses also. Ordered and replaced the heating element assembly, control thermistor, thermostat, and inlet thermal fuse. Very easy repair following the provided videos on the site. Read more
