Description

This dryer timer controls and advances the cycle you select, routing power to the correct components and shutting the dryer off at the proper time. Replacing a worn timer restores consistent cycle timing and end-of-cycle shutoff.

• Disconnect power; for gas dryers, also shut off the gas supply
• Remove the control knob and access the console to unmount the old timer
• Label or photograph wiring; move terminals to the new timer one at a time to avoid miswiring
• Align the timer shaft with the dial, secure the timer, and test operation before reassembly
