Paul W Knoxville , TN August 09, 2016 The appliance was a ge profile microwave oven it appeared to work normally but there was no heat at all Replaced the high voltage diode. You will need a special Torx screwdriver to remove the tamper resistant screws holding the cover. Once the cover is removed there should be a packet inside containing a schematic and detailed troubleshooting instructions. I used extreme caution to discharge the capacitor. The rest was simple. One screw and a push connector to remove and reinstall the diode. I fired it up and it was good as new. Thanks to AppliancepartsPros for the good guidance and extremely fast order delivery. 57 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
