Margaret R Murrells Inlet , SC April 30, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Range Hood JV348L2SS Plastic fan blade broke while being cleaned Removed the brackets that sheltered the fan blade, removed the fan clip (was a little difficult but a needle nose plier was helpful), removed broken fan blade collar. Attached new fan blade and clip. Getting the new fan blade seated on the stem was difficult. I used a socket (so that the stem had room to move down onto the fan) and a rubber mallet on the socket to achieve a complete seating. Reattached brackets. Also ordered a charcoal filter to replace the standard filter. The charcoal filter has made a difference in clearing any residual cooking odors. Diane B Delphos , OH August 24, 2014 I have a very old (over 20yrs old) range hood fan that previous tenants had removed the fan blade The part number did not match with any I could find but when I measured the size needed and could see the one inch squares in the photo background I thought I it looked like it would work. I submitted a question online about the diameter of the fan blade and received a prompt reply. I also checked the fan blade size in the same apartment complex and compared the look of the blade to the online photo. I ordered the part and it came in two days. The fan blade fit perfect. We matched flat area with flat area on the fan and pushed it on. The fan was fixed in about 10 minutes. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
Gail W Colorado Springs , CO October 09, 2022 Appliance: Model GE RANGE HOOD PLASTIC FAN BLADES New install of range and hood 8 years ago and the fan blades just broke all to pieces. Ordered a new fan blade - super easy with my model number and their pictures. The two of us (mid-60s), one using a flashlight and keeping the new blades from spinning, the other pushed it onto the little post and pinched on the little clamp to secure it. Voila!
