Broken fan blade Thomas H. • West Blocton , AL • April 21, 2014
I used a set of ring pliers to remove the old retaining ring, then spread the plastic ribs around the fan motor shaft with a small flat bladed screwdriver to ease removal of the old fan blade. I reversed the process to replace the blade, gently tapping a socket from my socket wrench set placed over the motor shaft and ribs with a small rubber mallet. I stopped when the shaft protruded about 1/8" beyond the plastic ribs of the new fan blade, then installed the new retaining clamp ring with the...

Oven not heating correctly taking too long to heat Ken S. • Dothan , AL • February 09, 2016
Changed out the Fan. Oven turns all heaters on to quickly get to temperature - the sensor probe is next to the broil heater - it quickly senses the broil element heat and claims a false oven temperature and "reaches" set temperature at the sensor probe. Changing the fan causes the air to circulate during this time - so the entire oven heats up. The Fan is supposed run in Bake mode during heat up. The Fan blade nut is a left hand thread - turn CCW to tighten and Clockwise to loosen - RIGHTY...

Stove downdraft stopped working Robert B. • Gaithersburg , MD • March 08, 2016
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business.

Part Number: W11512064
This evaporator fan moves cold air across the evaporator and through the refrigerator cabinet to keep temperatures even and food properly chilled. Replacing a failing fan restores airflow and helps the cooling system work efficiently. What it does:
- Circulates cold air from the evaporator to maintain even temperatures in the fresh-food and freezer compartments
- Promotes proper defrosting by moving air over the evaporator coils
- Reduces frost buildup and helps the compressor run less frequently when working correctly
- Common symptoms of a bad fan: loud or unusual noise from the fridge, warm compartments, or uneven cooling
What's included:
- One evaporator fan assembly
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair
- Remove interior panels or shelving as needed to access the evaporator fan; follow OEM instructions for disassembly
- Handle evaporator coil area and sheet metal with care—sharp edges can cause injury
- After installation, restore power and check for improved cooling and absence of abnormal noise
