Description

This dishwasher keypad is the membrane touchpad behind the control console. It registers your button presses so you can select cycles and options. Replacing a failed keypad restores reliable button response and allows the dishwasher to start. What it does / symptoms:

• Provides the user interface for cycle and option selection
• Sends button-press signals through the ribbon connector to the electronic control
• Buttons are unresponsive or work intermittently
• Dishwasher won't start when Start/Reset is pressed
• Indicator lights may come on but controls don't respond to input

Install notes:

• Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
• Access the console/door area to reach the keypad and control
• Carefully release the ribbon connector; avoid creasing or damaging it
• Ensure the ribbon is fully seated and correctly oriented in the control board connector before reassembly
