Quincy V Las Vegas , NV July 14, 2015 Broken switches on range 1) Unscrewed the metal pieces behind the switch panel. You'll notice 3 screws. Afterwards, I realized that I just needed to remove the screws to the left and right of the switch box. The box then slides out. If you take out the third that connects the box to the wire cover, just remember to screw that back in before you replace the box. 2) To make sure I didn't place the wiring in the wrong place, I basically took the wiring out one by one and placing it into the new switch. 3) Place the new switches in the holes. 4) Place the new switch panel over the switches. 5) Tighten the hex nut over the new switches. 6) Place the new knobs. 7) Put the back cover back in place and screw in the 2 screws on the left and right side. Jason A Ewa Beach , HI March 18, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range JV347H1WW The light control knob was broken and the fan switch broke off at the locking nut The light switch knob was pretty simple but just inserting the control knob on to the switch stem.The fab switch I had to turn off the power, remove the housing from the hood and insert the wires into the switch, tighten the nut and put the housing back on.
