Quincy V Las Vegas , NV July 14, 2015 Broken switches on range 1) Unscrewed the metal pieces behind the switch panel. You'll notice 3 screws. Afterwards, I realized that I just needed to remove the screws to the left and right of the switch box. The box then slides out. If you take out the third that connects the box to the wire cover, just remember to screw that back in before you replace the box. 2) To make sure I didn't place the wiring in the wrong place, I basically took the wiring out one by one and placing it into the new switch. 3) Place the new switches in the holes. 4) Place the new switch panel over the switches. 5) Tighten the hex nut over the new switches. 6) Place the new knobs. 7) Put the back cover back in place and screw in the 2 screws on the left and right side. Use rubbing alcohol to wipe off the grease (I had no paint issues you might want to check in an inconspicuous corner first) 2. To access the switch, remove metal box by removing two screws (bottom right and left of the box). There are four wire connection points on the switch which are labeled as L, 1, 2, and 3. Prior to disconnecting the wires from the switch, write down what connection point each wire is connected to, so you can reconnect the wires in the same position on the new switch. There are only three wires and they are different colors. To disconnect the wires from the switch, gently insert a small thin screw driver in the connection slot and pull the wires out. I learned this from one of the stories posted by one of your previous customers. To reconnect the wires on the new switch, just push the wires in their respective slots.
