James M Walworth , NY February 12, 2023 Appliance: Model GTW335ASN1WW GE washer was making a grinding noise during agitation but not the spin cycle. Using repair help suggestions from other users and youtube, I narrowed it down to the transmission (part #320) mainly because it was a metal-to-metal noise. The parts came in one day, thank you AppliancePartsPros.com. I installed the transmission but the noise was still there. Unfortunately, I didn't investigate enough and found a youtube video that suggested it could be the mode shifter (part #325) and that's what it was. I still saved money because having a service tech fix this problem would have still cost 3 times what I paid for parts and fixing it myself. if you are mechanically inclined, fix it yourself! Shane M Centre , AL October 25, 2025 Appliance: General Electric Washer GTW330ASK0WW Transmission was noisy and shaky the bearings was shot it's a sealed bearing so don't even bother trying to replace the bearings I ordered a new trans. From Appliancepartspro.com. it's best to call they are very helpful of making sure you have the right fit for yours. It's very simple job just make sure you set up somewhere so you have plenty of room. Hardest part is getting the 33mm drum nut off. Don't try using adjustable wrenches. As you don't won't to strip the head. I have an electric impact so it came off easy just going back and forth, and remember it's reverse threads.
