Charles D Cotuit , MA September 10, 2019 The dishwasher wasn't emptying the water I thought the pump had failed, so I ordered one and a sump (in case it was deteriorating.) The installation was well documented in your video and aside from my case of a hard copper inlet line, all went well. My troubleshooting should have begun with the end of the discharge line: it was blocked. New pump, the sump will be returned unopened, and the dishwasher works. Replaced the inlet sump, which was deteriorating, the drain pump assembly due to the concern of pieces from the inlet sump plugging the mechanism, and the flapper valve to be safe since it was cheap and easy to replace. Total repair, including disconnect and reconnect of the dishwasher and part removal and replacement took about 3 hours. Videos on Appliance Parts Pros site helped tremendously. Read More...
