Richard C Monmouth , IL February 27, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Washer WPRE6150K2WT Worn out shock springs allowing the drive shaft to rub the bottom of the cabinet with a full load I shopped around a bit - found one retailer that only had 1 shock in stock, another that only stocked the front shocks, etc. There is definitely a difference in the springs between the green colored and white colored shocks! I've torn this washer down before, so I'm fairly familiar with how it's put together. I've seen some of the You-tube videos on replacing this item, and some of the videos show far more disassembly than is required. I only removed the front, top, and controls, and completed the entire job in less than 20 minutes. It was less than two days from the time the problem became evident until I had it repaired.
