Ge WD22X10055 Lower Spray Arm OEM Part

I did not know how to remove the broken spray arm so when I muscled it out, the spray arm base broke. We ordered the replacement parts from appliance parts pros and received them within 2 days. I looked online to find out how to remove the spray arm base. I removed it be unscrewing the base, screwing the replacement base, and then snapping in the new spray arm. We tested the dishwasher and it worked just like it was new. Another new task learned and completed!!

I watched a video on you tube detailing how to remove and replace the broken parts.

I replaced the Spray arm and the filter, checked under the appliance for a leaking seal and found it dry. took the cover off of the drain and cleaned it out. I also ran the dishwasher with about a cup of bleach in it to sanitize it.

After troubleshooting, found that there was a huge crack in the center of the spray arm/a piece missing from it. You can find a video that shows you how to remove the spray arm on youtube, it is held in by a plastic latch. All you need is a flathead screwdriver, but be careful, a lot of people report snapping the latch off accidentally because it is tricky to find. The video was super helpful.
