Generator Spark Plug

A spark plug is a component within a combustion engine system that ignites the fuel/air mixture and generates a tiny explosion that is what makes power inside the engine. When the generator fails to fire and no power is generated, it is time to replace the spark plug. While an engine may start when it has bad spark plugs, it will often accelerate slowly, use fuel inefficiently, or misfire, too. This is not a difficult repair and should take no more than an hour to complete. It will require a spark plug socket wrench, ratchet, screwdrivers, and a gapping set. The spark plug has a lead that is not touching the other plug, but which is close enough to generate an arc of current and create the electricity for a spark. Be sure that the plug has the correct gap. This is an OEM replacement spark plug designed for use in Generac generators and pressure washers. This part is sold individually.
