Unplug oven then remove 6 screws and back panel is off exposing 4 screws and 6 color coded wires. Replaced each from old to new, replaced screws and finished in 15 min. Applied the front cover of the control board in the kitchen prior to start so total time to working oven... 20 min including cleanup. Read more

Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used. At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. My daughter that she turned timer on but hit cook with nothing in the microwave. I was able to figure it was one of the four thermal cutoffs. It was obvious which one literally fried.
