Richard E Fredericksburg , VA September 01, 2018 Appliance: Model POULAN 18" CHAINSAW Would not start and pull starter would sometimes "skip" when I tried to start it I replaced the ignition module and flywheel. While I had it open, I also replaced the hub starter which was a cause of the pull starter slipping a bit. The flywheel is "pressed" on, but there are numerous videos on the internet on how to quickly and safely remove it using simple hand tools and likewise, how to adjust the clearance between the module and the flywheel. The case screws look like they are "star driver" needy, but my slot is cut in them which will accommodate a medium, #2 flat blade screwdriver. saw started on the second pull - runs better than new in my opinion.
