I replaced the ignition module and flywheel. While I had it open, I also replaced the hub starter which was a cause of the pull starter slipping a bit. The flywheel is "pressed" on, but there are numerous videos on the internet on how to quickly and safely remove it using simple hand tools and likewise, how to adjust the clearance between the module and the flywheel. The case screws look like they are "star driver" needy, but my slot is cut in them which will accommodate a medium, #2 flat blade...

This is a genuine ignition lead replacement manufactured for use in select models of lawn and garden equipment. The ignition lead is used to connect the ignition switch to the ignition module, allowing the engine to be started properly when it is engaged. Over time, this cable can become stretched or worn. It may also be damaged in an incident and need to be replaced. Either way, a genuine OEM replacement like this is essential. This part is manufactured to strict OEM standards by Echo. It can be used in several models of equipment from Echo, Shindaiwa, and Little Wonder. The ignition lead is compatible with trimmers, cultivators, edgers, hedge trimmers, and drills. It is sold as an individual unit and does not include any hardware or additional accessories. It is made of durable metal and rubberized cabling. To install the new ignition lead, simply disconnect the old unit from the ignition switch and module. Be sure to disconnect the power and let the engine cool first before getting started. Once the old lead has been removed, the new cable can be installed so that the unit is functional again.
