This depth bar is an authentic OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on tillers to allow the tiller to dig into the ground and tear it up. The depth bar reduces the forward movement speed of the tiller which can be beneficial when the ground is hard-packed. If the depth bar breaks, it should be replaced to keeps the tiller operating efficiently. The depth bar is located on the back of the tiller. Before removing and replacing it, make sure the spark plug is removed from the machine and is parked on a flat surface. Remove the screws holding the depth bar in place. Set the screws aside.
